Casper is not an active dog. He’s more of a mellow and passive dog that sleeps all day. Sometimes I wonder if he’s just so bored and has just given up on life. Even when we take him out to walk he just lags way behind us (off leash). He’s only about a year and seven months old. I dread to see how slow he’ll be when he gets old. I always tell Jose he’s perfect for retired people hahah! He does get excited once in a while and will run fast in a sudden burst of energy before going back to his nice, slow pace. He’s just so chill.
What he loves to do though, is chew. Thankfully he doesn’t chew our furniture and knows what he can or can’t play with in our house. We’ve played frisbee with him (which he loves) but it’s getting harder and harder because he’s demolished it. It doesn’t fly right anymore.
I did some research online and many people said Kong toys last forever. So when Jose went to Taiwan, I made him get the Kong squeaky bowling pin. It was destroyed in less than an hour. 20 USD down the drain.
The only that has lasted is this top grade rock climbing rope that he and Jose play tug-of-war with. If this rope can withstand our aggressive chewer dog, you can definitely trust it with your life.
Well I recently discovered that our neighborhood supermarket sells ginormous cow leg bones and many people buy them for their dogs. I got several of them and man, are they big.
I can’t even lift one without my arm shaking from it’s sheer weight.
This will keep him occupied for a few hours. No more expensive dog toys for us.
